Rain
A pacific storm system has the potential to bring widespread light to moderate rainfall across Southwest California Wednesday into Wednesday night. Rainfall could begin as early as Wednesday morning across the Central Coast, with rainfall expected to reach Los Angeles and Ventura counties (including the Woolsey burn area) Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. Most of Southwest California could see between 0.25 and 1.00 inch of rain with this storm system, with the highest amounts likely focused across the coastal slopes and foothills. While rainfall intensities will mostly likely be light to moderate in nature, there is a very slight chance of heavier rainfall rates so residents and first responders in the Woolsey and Hill burn areas should pay close attention to forecast updates. Any rainfall across these burn areas will hamper recovery efforts and increase the risk for mudslides and rockslides along Highway 1 and canyon roads in the burn areas. The rainfall will also likely bring significant travel delays for the already busiest travel day of the year on Wednesday into Wednesday night.
