Relief is on the way! After several weeks of persistent and extreme rainfall, drier weather will prevail for the foreseeable future. Any lingering light rain will clear out this evening, after which we are not forecasting any significant rain chances during the next week. Beyond that, the precipitation outlook for October 8-14 issued by the NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center includes a likelihood of below-normal precipitation during that time. This stretch of dry weather will provide a chance for some of the water that fell in September to gradually flow out of our area. Meanwhile, temperatures will also fall to near or just below seasonal normals, with daily highs in the 60s and lows mostly in the 40s from tonight into early next week.
