We continue to monitor a trough of low pressure in the southwestern Gulf with a 80% chance of development over the next 7 days. Gradual development is becoming more likely and a tropical depression is likely to form during the middle part of the week. Regardless of development, an increased risk for high surf and rip currents along with heavy rainfall remain the primary threats with this setup.
