While the heaviest rain late this week has been focused in western portions of deep South Texas, the passage of a cold front today will allow for more rain to fall in the RGV and along the coast this weekend into early next week. There is a 50% chance or greater than rainfall amounts could exceed 2 inches between Sunday and Tuesday for the RGV and along the coast. Flooding is possible in urban, low-lying, and poor drainage areas.
