Between Thursday afternoon/evening to Saturday morning, widespread rainfall totals of 2-4 inches are expected, but locally higher amounts of 3-6+ inches are possible. The greatest rainfall totals are expected in western counties (Zapata, Jim Hogg, Starr). Heavy rain can lead to flash flooding, especially in poor drainage, low-lying, and urban areas.
